coil-over for 1303
I know you guys have talked alot about this but i am new to vws. I have been told that you can make a coil over kit with stock strut housings and to use Golf I Inserts and Golf tophat. I know i have to cut the spring perch off of my mounts, is there any other machining or custom fabrication needed for this conversion. I have a 78 super conv.
Does the Golf I tophat just bolt in or does it have to be modified to fit the stock bearing mount?
I have a set of Adjust-a-strut strut inserts are these the same the Golf I inserts?
