I am converting my 1303 front suspension to 944 spindles and will modify Golf I (Rabbit) front struts with coilover kit. I am planning to use the coilover conversion kit for early 944 (as attached picture) for the modification. Does anybody know if the diameter of the Golf strut is the same as early 944 strut that I can use the 944 coilover kit on Golf strut?
