I have a RLR bolt in cage with door posts on both sides and traction bar. The traction bar and rear bars are in the car, but the main bar and door bars are out until the headliner is installed. I've previously done what I describe below.
Start by removing your seats. Locate the main loop behind the front seats. Place the mounting pads so the post is on top of the heater channel and the bolt pattern is on the pan. The posts must be in line with the door jam for the best rigidity.
Next install the rear bars to the main loop. They mount about 9" inboard of the side walls of the rear luggage compartment. I don't think the bolts that mount to the main loop will line up if you have the sides swapped. I pre-fit the rear bars outside the car to make sure I knew which was left/right.
If you have door bars, fit them to the main loop next.
If you have the traction bar, get it mounted to the rear trans mount before drilling holes in the luggage compartment.
Once all the bars are connected to the main loop and you have it lined up and square, use the mounting pads as a template to drill your holes. For the door bar holes that are under the bar, remove the bar and use the bottom plate as a template to drill the "hidden" hole.
Consider powdercoating it before installation or at least paint it good.
