do some searches on here for more info, but 55mm is not your only option. it is one of the best if you are going to stay with stock fenders, but not the only. and remember that offset is relative to the width of the rim. a 55mm offset on a 7" is going to have a much different position that a ET55 on a 8" rim.

$2000 for wheels????? no, no, no. look around. if you have the time, you can find a much better deal. those rims should be no more than $1000-1200 tops. i got a set of 4-8.5" for $425. sold 2 of them for $400 and bought 2-7" at $600. check Wheel Enhancement as a minimum. not the best deals, but good quality and occasionally the special clearance deal. ebay is a great source. PelicanParts.com another.
