I second that; just installed my early 944 m/c onto the original 1303 holes, which have the m/c tilt a little bit. The 03 plastic grommets to the resevoir fit right in on top.
I just mounted the brakelight switch in the 3rd remaining hole withjout adapter and it works fine and has enough room to sit there. Just mount the switch before you mount the m/c to the bulkhead.
I have now reversed the front-rear brake lines. The 23mm cup is now for the rear. Contrairy to my beliefs and theory, this gives me a better balance now, as in that the rear is now giving more braking action, which before it didn't (front overbraking before).
And trust me: I have driven on our Zandvoort circuit with it (hard!) and it doesn't lock anymore front or rear!

Not to sound rude but that is because these questions have been asked and answered over and over; and over, and over again here. Everything I just posted is in many other threads already.
I agree...
