With stock motor/tranny lots of wheel hop and a broken nosecone.
Built the motor(2332)/close ratio 4speed, and made a traction bar for the motor. Was ok, the car spun more than it hooked. When it did hook it had some wheelhop. Went to a battle of the imports 1/4 mile race, and they sprayed VHT (track bite) around the start line for the FWD to have some traction. I burned out, (with some wheelhop
) , i let go of the line lock and the tires bit. Tried to roll up and stage, and no go
. Broke the output shaft of the tranny. When pulling the motor noticed the traction bar was bent!
So rebuilt, with a bolt in 3bar setup, from aircooled.net, which at that time was made by TGFAB? They don't sell them anymore, i don't know why. Now the car either hooks or spins. NO Wheelhop! Haven't taken it to the strip yet. We'll see.
