i installed a watson kit on a friend's 65 standard. the car was on the ms gulf coast, and the harness rode out katrina in a box. the acc. ignition switch was damaged by salt water and the fuse block had a lot of built up silt, lots of fun to clean out the diagram was non-existent. he called them up and ended up having to pay $35 or something for a replacement. he was not happy and they weren't very helpful. as far as the kit, imo it would be okay for a buggy or rail, but the whole "having extra circuits for more stuff" thing as one of their selling points is a bunch of hooey. in the acc. position the instruments would energize (how many of you with a more modern car see the temp guages, etc. come on when you turn to acc?) the other glaring thing that got my goat (besides the gm colored uke: wiring) was the fact that the high and low beams (on both headlights!) was on one fuse. and on their site they say something like the germans weren't very good at designing the harness just my experience, but i like having the wires colored like they're supposed to be.
