did you check the plugs? I have a similar problem now. I had a plug wire come off and I think it fouled the plug.
I don't think the fender price is too high, I had to tie myself down to keep from buying them. I'd like to put them on my Daily Driver, along with some widder wheels, but I don't have the extra money.
