The foam filters are the best. We use product from a company called True-Flow that has some very nice foam filters for many applications (exept webers like we run) but the ITG an other brand of racing foam filters are better than the paper gauze filters (like K&N..ect).
The foam (with good sticky oil) will trap more dirt, cinders and stuff than the gauze filters, and they flow very nice aswell (usually better).
Most race cars are running no filters, or foam filters... like the ITG's
Im running gauze filters at the moment till some ITG's show up, i first need to figure out how im going to run my breather lines from my breather box. as with ITG's you dont have a solid mounting surface for a bulkhead ftting.
