You couldnt use 944 T with typ 1 or other VW CV joints. They have 33 splines and the 944 T driveshaft have 25 splines. I made the mistake myself and had to buy another pair of drive shafts
from a 944N/A. The 944N/A have 33 splines and could be used to any 33 splines VW CV. Both have the same lenght 52cm.
The 944T driveshaft would be a good choise if you use a Porsche gearbox. I will save my Turbo shafts until then
