Hi,

it seems that the tranny that you have might be a 911/01. This type normally has a pulled type clutch and itīs fork sits in a different place. The lever you have is from an old 901-gearbox. The 901 and 914-levers are very similiar. The position of the ball is the same, but the position of the drill for the bolt is different (but that makes no difference). Please identify your gearbox by giving us the ID of it. You can find it underneath the gearbox stamped into the housing (at the lowest point of the gearbox). Must be something like 911/01 or a figure like 901/13.
If you have a 911/01 you have to replace the position of the ball in the lever by welding in some metal and then milling in a new position.
