heres an easy way to get the most out of your alternator, Im gonna try and get some photos of my stereo and alternator install and make a tutorial for audio wiring, Upgrade all your wires running from the alternator to some high quality 4gauge or higher welding cable or like high perf stinger wire, which i used. Everyone likes capacitors but this usually does the trick, most of the time the amp is starving for current throught the thin wire, did you know that on my type IV it was less than a 8 gauge wire running fromt eh alternator to the starter, then 4 gauge to the batt. really bad wires. now its all nice 4 gauge, with a optima deep cycle. My system should be installed completely in a week or two. and oh boy, its gonna be loud. 1500 watts, more later.... if your going with a 70 amper for a type 4 good luck finding a cooling boot. I made one and also had rigged up a fan for under the pulley..
