18 inch Porsche rims on a 1302 cab?

I'm about to collect the missus's 1302 cabrio from the paintshop, where its been having an 'inbetween other jobs' body off resto for 2 years.

After much arguing about style we have opted for a semi GL look - still retaining the chrome, bright colour - but with uprated parts like Porker wheels, brakes, lowered suspension and retrimmed interior with Porsche details.

The idea is to enhance/modernise what is an already classic design rather than rewrite the book.

However.....I have a set of 18" Cayenne Turbo rims in the garage, originally intended for use on my VW Syncro Doka. I'm wondering if these can be parctically used on the cab, with low profiles and if so what would be the best method of fitting them.

The car is going to need new springs/shocks/discs and drums so upgrading these parts now will be no biggy.

The info on the wheels is:

ET52
18" diameter
8J width

I'd like to use the car regularly, without scrubbing etc - is this possible??
