'86 951 alloy arms were the narrow ones, but they will increase the track by 3 inches. The '87 and up 951, and 944S arms will skate it out a total of 6 inches.
In either style of 951 alloy arms, you'll need '87 and up 944S axles so you'll have the correct length to reach the stub axles on the alloy arms, and the proper spline pattern to use Type I CVs on the transaxle, and 944 CVs on the stub axles.
The 951 axles have a coarse spline pattern not compatible with Type I CVs, and '86 and earlier 944 axles for cars equipped with steel trailing arms aren't long enough.
