Most aircraft gauges are for navigation purposes I agree though, they do have more engine monitoring systems. BUT they are designed systems. Hours of research goes into figuring out optimal operating conditions and calibration. Slapping on an autometer of vdo gives you something to look at, but what do you actually gain?

I run a tach and oil temp, I think that is on the threshold of too many...
