hey chug- a- bug, what did you do starter wise?
i have a reconditioned 1600 type 1 (actually got out of a bay, but is type 1) theres no starter in the project, which one do i need to work well? i remember someone telling me a bug one would work but you had to machine into the gearbox casing slightly to allow the starter to go in more. do i use a porsche starter or bug starter, preferably bug, as i can get my hands on one no probs.
cheers jmd, i just wonder what the difference will be as im running just a stock bug motor, but ill deffo give you a shout if i need parts, cheers guys...
