Hi Martice,

Using dropped spindles is the easiest way to fit 944 discs. All you have to do is cut off the bottom lug and postion the caliper, then drill and tap your M12 bolt hole. Finally make a thin spacer to centre things up and bolt it all together. See Alex's helpful tech article.

I opted for the standard disc spindles for two reasons. Firstly, I wanted to use the larger 12" Turbo discs and later calipers. Secondly, I wanted the caliper to be upright when seen through the spokes, not on the bottom of the disc as with the CB route. I had to design and make a bracket, spot face the spindle, and clearance the bottom trailing arms. It was a lot more hassle but in my opinion, well worth it!
