Are you running 2 or 3 bolt front struts and is the ET/offset the same on the front wheels? Are there any other photos of your car?
I just did a calculation on this site
http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp and comparing a Cookie/Fuchs 7 X .. with a 23 ET you would have 36 mm less inner clearance and 10mm more clerance to the fender.
