I agree with Racelook, that front apron is definitely not original or right.
That sunroof $ucks pretty bad. I sometimes shake my head and wonder why…
Personally, I would look for another roof and fill the hole, as welding in a patch would most likely cause a lot of heat warp to the roof. Alternatively, if you want the factory sunroof, you cannot just get the mechanism, you need the whole roof section as well, as there are tracks, etc… that need to be put in.
Seeing that I would replace the roof to fix the hole, finding a sunroof roof section may be an alternative, although not a particularly cheep one to do unless you have the skills to do the work yourself.
(Just my opinion, but I could be wrong)
