I added a blade type fuse box to the stock system. I paid about $20 for it. I powered the box from the terminal on the stock fuse box on the uphill side of the fuse that has the fattest wire going to it from the ignition switch. The new fuse box enabled me to add new electrical and clean up some of the stock wiring reducing the mess of existing wires crammed into the stock fuse box.

It seems to work fine and not overload the wore from the ignition switch. BTW it is not tapped into the actual ingiton for the starter motor, just the keyed switch (2nd position).
