I polished and clearcoated mine a couple months ago, being that its made of a magnesium alloy it oxidises very quickly. the clearcoat only serves to slow the process slightly.

if you have it polished plan to get it clear powdercoated. this is the only way to keep the shine.

I personally am going with "almost chrome" on mine, bought the powdercoating equiptment from eastwood and I'm almost good to go
