well, lets see.
I paid $1200 for my used L-tec welder, its 220v, mig with gas.
You can put a gas kit on a little lincoln welder like petes, they are good for sheet metal, but anything thicker than say 1/8" you will probably need a 220v welder to get good penetration, or else you'll just get grapes. Ill ask steve what he paid for his gas kit, he has a lincoln 110.
