Hi Jim,
I thought about that, but clearcoat usually tarnishes and turns a yellow colour under severe heat. That even seems to be true with 2k paint as I found out when I painted my engine tinware pearl white on my last bug. Under close inspection you can see that the Porsche enscription from the factory seems to be painted. Any ideas on how they create this at the factory?
