Hi Flinstones & anybody else interested

I was in hurry to answer properly before.

The wheels I have are 18x8s, I'm getting them made with a 40 Et to suit the wider 944 arms that I have on the rear, otherwise I would have needed to have the wheels dished on the front which would have looked odd.

The stock VW wheel has an ET of 34 so if I add 6 & 13 per side to satisfy our local authorities that allows me to widen my track by 19 mm per side, but the rules can be interpreted different ways.

From our local rules "Where non original axle or suspension components are fitted, the offset of the wheel in relation to the axle or stub axle assembly used shall not be increased by more than 12.5mm each side of the vehicle based on the specifications of the axle components used."

The way I read that is if I fit Porsche front hubs that give me say a 9mm track increase I can add 18 mm to my maximum track.

The 29mm increase I mentioned before was to give me the same affect as using 8 inch 10.6 ET Fuchs.

Steve

PS my new wheels before being refurbished
