Smile 930 in 1303

Hi,

I take the final decision to put a 930 4-spd in my 1303.
It is very hard to locate one and if we speak for the early 76-77 model years (3.0l 930 not 3.3l) with the short bellhousing is almost un-obtainable !
So I take a good use '84 long bellhousing for start :

Complete dissasembly of the trans is required due to shorten the bellhousing and the mainshaft by almost 30mm this can be avoided in a buggy or open engine bay car. After the shortening is about 2cm longer from a 915 but is wider a bit so frame horns need to mild haved to let it sit.If you fit an engine with not much HP you need to buy at least 3rd and 4nd aftermarket gears as they are waaaaay tall.Stock R&P is 9:38 but a 8:41 is available in aftermarket.
It can handle easily 550 HP in stock form !!!
This trans can only be compared with a Mendeola for strenght (935 handle 1000HP).Mechanical cluth also.

My question is did you know any to have done this conversion?
