944 disc brakes on 1969 Karmann ghia front?

Hi.

This is an excellent forum. For those of you who are old enough, remember what it was 20 years ago when we were fixing up our vw's! You could only ask other people you knew, and if you heard about some modification done far away, you couldn't get any details of it. Internet has changed everyhing.

Back to the question:

I have a 1969 Karmann Ghia conv., and I have bought a complete set of porsche 944 N/A brakes (1984), (backingplate, rotors, calipers, hub).
Fitting the rear brakes will not be any problem at all, it is basically bolt-on. But the problem arises with the front brakes.

My Ghia has originally disc brakes in front, but how can I fit the the easiest way?
Do I have to maschine the hubs so that they can use VW-bearings?

Do I also have to make an adapter so the calipers will fit? Or would another model of the 944 brakes be more fit?

I really hope you guys can help me clear things out.

Regards,
