This is my first post, but I've been checking this site out alot recently, reading everything I can. Lots of good people with a library of good info.
I am wondering how you mount the engine on the subaru conversion? I've seen so many different sites about people doing the swap, but only one or two have gone into how the engine is hung. Can it be left swinging from the trans like my beetle engine, or do I have to fab up longer trans horns to reach the engine or? I'm fairly confident of doing everything else for this swap except this bit I haven't been able to figure out. I really don't want to do a pan off, because I'm going to be doing this in one of those rental storage units and am not going to have very much room. (one of the cruddy things about apartment living, no room for anything) So.. any suggestions out there amongst the VW garage engineers? Thanks so much.
