2017cc...good engine?

i was looking for a good performance engone to put in the back of my 74 super daily driver...i am still in high school so i can't go all out but i want somethin that would put you in your seat when you want it too....i've heard that a 2017 is both reliable and quick. what'd you think? this is a type I if course...a type IV would be nice but idk. give me some tips...thanks
