944 brake question for 1303

Anyone running single pot 944 brakes with Kerscher balljoints on your 1303?

Exactly how much wider were the 944 brakes vs the stock drums per side?

Im trying to figure out exactly how much it will widen my track so that I can calculate what width wheels I can run and what size fenders I will need.

thanks
Joe

i am. but im not totaly done with it.

Not sure on how much it added. but with the 944 spindles and brakes + porsche boxster wheels (split 5-spoke, 16") the RIMS are FLUSH with the front fenders, and a little over the rear fenders. i forgot all my measurments. at the moment i have the rear arms off so i cant check the exact measurment for the time being (a week or so). But with a wheel with more offset, you could stick a 6 up front easy with stock fenders. in the rear the same, maybe even a 7" rim.

I still need to get tires on my wheels. and deal with the fenders myself (get wider ones)... my project comes along slowly, but shurly. (Hey, the motor is just about to go back together!, and my suspention and brakes are coming together in the next month ).... Now i just need to think about paint and interior .

I am excited to soo how your new super turns out... sounds like you have some nice plans for it.

Jonathan

I answered your post on SBO! also, it's 10mm per side in front and 26mm per side in the rear. This is for the 83-85 944 conversion.
