1303 control arm problem?

Has anyone noticed that the inner end of the control arm is "offset"?
Does this mean there is two different arms, left and right? Because all I have is two of the same kind.
Here is a picture (not VW) of what I`m meaning; A is bigger than B.
I`m speaking of the newer 1303 control arms, that are pressed plate, not cast.

So far as I know they all are made the same. Our 1302 (with late 1303/944na suspension) has identical arms on both sides. They are both offset. The drivers side is offset towards the rear, and the passengers side is offset towards the front.

They both came from the same car.

The offset is so slight that it makes no difference to an alignment computer.
