944 setup issue

does anyone who is running a 1303 with maxx struts and 944 n/a brakes with 17" cup et52 rims..205 tires under stock fenders have any pictures of the front...

i was informed that it would fit under the stock fenders but...as you can see :disagree: about an inch off.

what setting is your maxx set to to sit right ....i would like it to sit right above the tire...should it be set on the lowest setting....how much will the springs settle?

Check your camber- I can't tell from the pic if you've got positive or negative.

But the 944 spindle (steering knuckle) has a lot more positive camber than the supers one and often thats the reason the wheels won't fit under.

You'll need to run some negative camber. If you can't get enough from the inner adjustment on the control arms then check out Toplines camber plus kit. Or there was a post here not long ago where someone tried using the offset bolts that adjust camber on the strut to knuckle bolts.

i do have the TripleC on the spindle/strut mount to give it more negative camber ...i also have the topline camber+....there is a slight negative camber to the wheels ...i have not measured it but it seems that if i run more -camber on it to make it fit ..it will have too much / \...

i think if i cant figure out a way ill just have to run CCC 1.25" fenders

How about slotting the top holes for the strut mount, and using the camber plus kit to shorten the arms (ie add more positive camber) and use the triple C bolt to control the amount on the wheel.

Slotting the top holes inwards (and perhaps backa little on an angle) will also add to the camber - hence the reason to dial it out with the lower arm camber plus kit.

This might help. It is effectively what I did to fit cookies onto 944 single pots under standard guards, except I took it a little more extreme and fitted a spherical bearing to a plate for my top mounts (which pushed the top inwards) and cut 25mm out of the lower arm. You can see what I did here http://carolineandjeremy.multiply.co...m/2?closepop=1

Cheers
