Need window size help

strange subject, huh? here's my situation. i have a choptop with the chop done by the PO. the quarter glass he had cut was a little small and allowed the outside seal lip to tuck back in under itself at the rearmost curve and the bottom front curve. i planned on switching to Lexan anyway, so no big deal.

well, i am in the process now. i cut my glass a little larger, but must have been a little too large. slowly cutting down as i refit is leaving me concerned that while it is still not allowing the rubber to sit properly due to the window being a little too large, i am about down to the size of the glass window i just pulled out for being too small.

can anyone tell me roughly the size difference between the OD of their glass and the ID of the lip the seal wraps over on their stock car so i can guesstimate where i need to be on mine? pictures would be even greater if possible.

Ok Zen, hope I explain this right. I measured the O.D. of glass from the front edge to the rear most point of radius on rear. It is 26 13/16 inches. The I.D. of window frame (measured from same points of course) is 26 5/8 inches.

basically it. so the window is just slightly larger (3/16") than the inside edge of the lip the seal goes over, correct? that at least gets me in the ballpark, which i think i was already in. i may still be a little long front to back.

i am going to take one more stab at the install (before triming more) and make sure i seat the window all the way forward when pulling in the back and visa versa. i have a foam headliner which is a little thicker than a stock one when wrapped over that lip that may not let the seal seat itself firmly down until forced to or the window is all the way in.

thanks for the info.
