Difficulties aligning front suspension
Hi,
My setup: Original never collision 1970 Beetle CSP front beam with 1-set castershims German trailing arms with new balljoints German disc brake spindles original ones Extra-eccentric camber eccentrics I wanted about -0.5 camber on the front wheels, but the alignment shop cant get more than about -0.3 on one wheel, and even less on the other. So the options - misdrilled camber eccentrics bent torsion arms bent spindles too long upper suspension tube / too short lower misfitted parts - not putting trailing arms all the way in etc. Do anyone else have similar problems? Will give the car a go over soon, but the shop did not see anything in particular wrong other than not getting the values wanted. Last edited by redhot; October 17th 2009 at 14:18. |
