I drove it !!

Yeah baby, just a quick run around the block, but I drove it.
I am stoked ! I'll try to make a video of it tomorrow.

Since the back is still all open, I almost choked on the dust and exhaust fumes, but it runs. I haven't really opened her up, didn't have the balls for it yet, but so far it feels pretty quick !

Man this is so cool... still a lot of work to do, but the first step is there.
The nasty tick is still there, but I have been told that that might just be because the engine sat for a long while.....

Ok, here's the proof:

In the one video it sputters because I did not have enough fuel in the tank.
It by no means runs fine yet, but it feels pretty powerful, giving it some gas in 2nd gear really makes it go....gotta love that torque !!

I think what's really cool about a suby conversion is that it still has that VW sound. Though there is a hell of a lot more power and reliability back there, you can still here those valves and pistons pumpin opposing each other. It just seems to fit!! Congrats.

awsome man! what a rush... I am dreaming of that day myself.

now on to the L of GL ... its Look time lol. One bad thing about not doing the motor last. The looks of the car get pushed back, out driving it too much only one comment it seems the muffler hangs down low are you going to change that before you lower it, or is that just a temp muffler and you are going to change it. congrats on the first step in your GL project, step one power
