just recieved my 5 spd trans conversion parts

I just recieved my package of 5 speed conversion parts from Martin Bott at Bug@5speed out of Germany. Just to let the forum members know, the quality of these items are great, the service from Martin is excellent. I can hardly wait until I start the install.

Congrats! I'm placing my order very soon (thanks to Toccoa bug fair swap meet ). I've had a 915 tranny sitting and waiting for months.

conversion is happening

I have just finished welding in new L&R pans. The trans conversion is next for fitment. Then disassembly and have the chassic powder coated. I purchased 2 914 transmissions, thinking I would use one for parts if needed. Unfortunately they both had the same problems. So the gearbox will get new 1st & 2nd gear engagement gears. 1st & reverse gear selector. All syncros, 2&3 selector sleeve. bearings, and Martins conversion parts.

I'll keep you posted

www.bugat5speed - english version

Hi,

slowly it´s becoming embarassing, that I still can not offer you the English version of my site. I can tell you that about 80 - 90 % of the content is already translated (that´s not the reason why it takes so long). The reason is, that the software with which the site was made is still not able to handle a multilingual version. They promise us since one year now, that with the next update it will be done, but nothing really happens. They have e pre-beta-version at the moment and we are waiting until the beta-version is released. Then we start with the site.

Another option would be having German and English text mixed up, but that does not look good at all.

So please have some more patience. I will keep you informed.

Martin
