Hello-
I'm busy planning my first Type4 engine. I had the following combo in mind: 2,0L Type4 -Standard crank, rods and pistons, balanced,ARP rod bolts -Standard Squareport cylinder heads with stainless steel valves and uprated seats -Very mild cam:260 degrees -Wasserboxer (Dijijet) fuel injection system (has been used before on T4) -Wasserboxer distributor -4-1 exhaust with modified Bus heaterboxes and GSX-R 1300 Yoshimura muffler The above is going into a '67 Fastback, which explains why I can't go wild on the cam... What type of power and torque am I looking at from this combo? Would it be better to have hydraulic or solid lifters? What would be the safe rev limit? Answers eagerly awaited.... |
