crazy with carbon
ok heres a question that happens when your mind runs wild.
you know how gm trucks have a headliner that is one piece. its like pre molded carboard with the fabric on it. would it be possible to have a semi piece molded headliner for a bug out of carbon fiber? or is there a fabric material that simulates cf? just an idea. neil |

yes its been done
Ive seen it on cars in Europe. They use really thin carbon so that they can bend it to shape.

i answered some of this in the ragtop post. but, headliner goes in next week i hope. total custom job by interior guy in west GA. he will be using the same material as on my momo seats. it is basically just modern foam headliner material. i have not gone over the mounting method yet though. so don't know that yet.
