944 turbo rear in a splitty

I have had the spring plates modified for irs
i have some type 4 drive shafts 17 ins
the question is- can i use bug irs a arms and cv's and splined shafts
in these hubs, then get some 944 or aftermarket caliper mounts?
i intend on using twin pots upfront on a splitty
where in the world can i get some front caliper mounts?

its been sone with the 944 allot arms, but he had to disassemble the rear suspension to change the tires.

Call up Russell at Old Speed (www.oldspeed.com) for the front fitment of 944 brakes. It is very easy!

On the rear I have no idea what ride height you want so it is hard to answer that question.

I am running a little bit of the Old Speed kit (modified swing plates) and then the Bus Boys adjustable control arm mounts. The Bus Boys clamps are the only way to go in my opinion. T1 IRS arms with 944 stub axles, Thing output flanges on the tranny, SAW floating axles, and T2 CVs.

With my setup I am staying at stock hieght and running 15" Phone Dials. No problem getting the wheels off the rear. But with Turbo brakes you need at least 16" wheels... If you drop it expect tire removal issues.

My issue now is upper shock mounting brackets... Grrr!

Pillow,

Use Russ's top shock mounts - or if you have a lathe make your own. They are a piece of 20mm round stock about 25mm in length and tapped in the centre which you weld to the underside of the chassis rail, where the u shaped support is. I then used Mini front shocks due to the reduced distance.

Anything else will knock the bushes out of the shocks rapidly
