Question VW Enginge to Porsche Engine

Hi, I am an owner of a 75 VW Beetle. At the moment it is not running, but after running a few tests, the only thing that seems to be wrong with it is the fuel pump. Anyways, I heard that it is pretty easy to put a Porsche engine in place of a VW one. First of all, is that true, and second... if it is, wut r the main things i have to do to adapt my car to fit the engine and what type of engine do i need? Thanks a lot for all your help! E-Mail me back at adidasrunnerx25@hotmail.com

Porsche engine in a bug .... easy ..... just as long as you are talking about the 4 pot and not the 6 pot !!!!!!!
It's basically the same as a type IV engine.

The type 4 and the 356 engine will fit into the beetle with little work.

You might want to use the "search" function at the top of the screen and type in "type 4 conversion" or something similar. Check out www.massivetype4.com for the upright conversion cooling kit.

Question another question..

ok, so if i put a 356 engine into my 75 fuel injected beetle, does that mean that im goin to have to change my fuel pump to a mechanical one as well as buy a carbuerator? and.. is there a difference between the 356, 356a, 356b, and 356c? is one easier to put in, one more powerful, etc? thnx for all you help, everyone that i show my car to laughs at it, i cant wait to blow em all away lol. thnx
