will 17 by 7 with an 40 or 42mm offset fit on my 72sb without hitting my struts. if they do what should i do , i heard you can put civic rear coils to replace the stock coil and that will give me enough room but i dont know. and how low can you make your car with 17s. thanx

you would probably have to run about a 10 to 15 mm spacer to bring the wheels off the struts with stock springs.
With 17" rims and 40 series tires you can lower your car 2.5" to 3" in the front.

Get the MaXX struts from Topline Parts and you'll be fine, a small spacer of about 10mm may be needed.

We'll, VdubCustoms were the originators of the honda rear coil, so I have to say that that will work. My car has exactly the same setup right now; adjusta struts with honda rear coils, 215/40 tires on 17x7et42.
Good Luck, Lanner |
