my 61 project
After 2 years we are almost done. Its running and driving, we just need to get the interior finished. Of course there are things I am going to adjust/change when the weather changes and I can't drive it for the winter.
Thanks to the help here we have a really nice "driver" that handles great and stops really well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Engine 45 Dellorto carburators CB 3125 hex bar linkage and air cleaners CB offset manifolds match ported by K-Roc CB 1154 82mm stroke super race crank CB 1290 super race rods 5.50” 90.5 B Cima Pistons CB straight cut gears CB 2288 cam CB 28mm Lifters CB 1.4 Rockers Heads by K-Roc : 40 X 35.5 heads 9.4 compression 12lb chromoly flywheel Kennedy stage 1 1 5/8 A1 sidewinder exhaust system (the best money you'll ever spend on an exhaust) Schaedek 30mm oil pump puma low profile shroud CB 1770 thin line oil sump 1.½ quart Body 1961 pan 1969 IRS 4 wheel disc brakes 85' 944 porsche front suspension 2" narrowed beam with airspeed sway bar Front wheel hub machining for the brakes by VDub Engineeering. rear suspension 85' 944 everything from the torsion bar back and added a 3/4" swaybar. 3 bar kafer brace from VDub Engineering. brakes
Nice looking car, Bullyboy. I see that you have the 944 brake conversion. That is the same setup I am going to install on my 72 Super. Can you give me some more info on the brakes and wheel/tire size. Did you use the 944NA MC? Did you have any problems with brake bias or did you use a propotioning valve? I suppose tire size would be a factor. I am using 205/55-16 front and 225/50-16 rear. I am waiting to get my re-machined parts back from Lanner @ VDub Engineering, so any info you can give me would be helpful Thanks, Eric.
