weasel, those brace's im just curious how they are fitted, im imagining they go between the body and pan? could be wrong, that was just the first thought, let me know either way, i might be changing my ideas now

I believe they are bolted between the pan and chassis but also welded on the outside to the bottom of the heater channel...

I purchased 2 sets of the Eyeball Engineering stiffeners. You can try to make this as home or try to have someone make it for you, either way it will be more expensive or less stiff than the products from Eyeball. He has a jig set up for the whole thing and has gone through the trouble to make it work well.
I don't know how the 'vert style compares with weight, but it also needs to be welded on, where the Eyeball is bolt in. The vert ones may be stiffer than the Eyeballs for how much they weigh though. Jason

ricola is correct, they are welded to the heater channel and the floor pan bolts go through them. You have to remove the jack supports before they will fit.
They are quite strong and stiff, as they have to do the job of the roof and keep the two halves of the body together. Without these, if you pick a 'vert body up off the pan, it will fold in half. Hope this helps, mrweasel |
