vw paint chart?
is there a site that shows all or most of vw's paint colors? and the codes? i want to paint my car a vw stock color, preferably a watercooled metallic light blue, just cant find one .
any help? neil

i found this, hope it helps somebody else.
http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/...wagen-pg01.jpg looks like they have every year paint code. seems to be all makes too. enjoy. neil

keep in mind that you can not accurately judge colors via a browser and monitor. you are guaranteed to end up with a different color. you need to get a real paint chart. about the second best thing you can do is look at paint charts in the rags. even they are tainted due to the printing process.
fwiw, i love dove blue.

Okay, it's not a water-cooled VW metallic light blue, but you might want to consider "River Blue Metallic" (LK5V). It was a one-year only color (1979) used on Super 'verts only.
It looks very nice in person. (It is different from "River Blue" (L50Y) from an earlier VW year.) I would consider it for my GL except I have a friend from childhood who happens to have a rare '79 River Blue 'vert; so for me, it would be tacky.
