Calling Carbon Joe. Calling Carbon Joe.

Anyone know how to get in touch with Carbon Joe? I've posted and emailed him several time over the last week or two without response. I need to get an order in to him...

No problem Joe. I'll check my email this evening. Hopefully, a CF order will follow...

Carbon Joe?

I emailed Carbon Joe with no response. I wanted to ask him about some CF peices for a Ghia. I'm sure he's busy, that's why I waited a week or two before I posted here. Does anyone know another way to get ahold of him?

Thank you,

Question

I'm interested mainly in door panels. But overall just some more carbon accents. I would like to have a few peices carbon instead of just 1 or 2. Better continuity(sp?). out side details too. Like.. confused: headlight rings, or taillight rings. but they seem too tough to make just for 1 order. A chin spoiler? Fresh air grills? I don't want all those peice in CF, I'm just throwing ideas out right now.

Like I said, mainly just door panels, and a few exterior accents. or some CF in the engine bay, but that's already being made.
Zen, do you have any Ideas?

i had talked to Joe about mirrors a long time ago and as i recall he said they were just too time consuming to get the weave right for the shape to keep the cost low enough.

Question

Sure, but that won`t matter if they are painted...

I need new mirrors after the ones I had were stolen.

Zen, Did you find out about the possibility of making some CF Ghia parts?

Mikey,

Haven't talked to Joe. I will try him this weekend though.

boblebaard,

Here is where I got my mirrors, but shipping could kill you. Just do a keyword search for "mirrors" to get to them the easiest.

Zen, I'm thinking about running their CF elliptical or rectangle model. Any issues mounting your? Do the require any backside bracing or support inside the door?

ps...RCW is less than 20 miles from me here in Indy. No shipping. :agree:

i have the rectangular. i did not use any backside support. mounted in stock location. angled stems gave me the height i needed since i sit almost on the floor. only issue was on one, the set screw that binds against the ball of the stem in the base stuck out some. the gasket material i use absorbed the slight protrusion though. good quality mirrors.

ZEN; do you have a picture of them fitted to the car?
Did they fit in to the sttandard holes in the door, or did you have to modify them?
I think I would go for the GP mirror Spa Design (Carbon of course...)

several on the VKG site in my image gallery. mine already had baby turbos on it so my holes were filled. i reused one and patched then created a new for the other...i know, no help there. they just use the two small screw holes though. i JB-Welded nuts on the inside to make removal and reinstall easier.
