Hey! Is my car German Look?

I 've always loved the German-Look. Fell in love with it really. I was geared that way from the start when starting on my project. Some of you may be familiar w/ my car. Some of you may not. As the project prgressed...Hmmmm... Well , I think I mnay have strayed from the orginal plan and wandered into a varitable "Limbo" of sorts. It isn't modern. Still German. I kinda created a "Retro-German Look" , but is it still German-look ?
I'm just curious. This, and I just like pimpin' out my car so I can fish for compliments since I'm still not driving her!

ARRRRGH! god help me...I'm goping to get her driving before the year is out!

So...With that said.
Is it German-Look?
Is the Retro-German Look a successful idea in it's Semi-completion?

i think with most looks, its the wheels that set it apart...
with the stock wheels I not really sure what look it is...
maybe resto-custom?

to me, resto-german would be a car that kept all of its
earliness (chrome trim, window moldings, etc)
but offset it with modern porsche wheels....

this is an example of resto-german

looks kinda like a retro-rally kinda thing going on there, with the headlamp grilles, bonnet hold-downs, steel wheels...

Performance upgrades? I like the term "form follows function" when the German Look is involved... makes a great guide for the GL theam, Eh.

just an update...

Well..I got zero compression on the #4 piston....So I just went out and bought another case (valve cover to valve cover and set the other one aside 'til i get it fixed. In the mean time. I'm putting these on it next:

... so I guess that answers the wheel questions and officially solidifies my "German-Look" satus. I got these in a deal w/ tires and front wheel disc w/ rear wheel drums for $600.00 including tires w/ only 10,000 miles on them.

Good deal?

Nice, i have a set of those rims (6&8") for spares. i was originaly going to use them untill i got a free (oh yeah free!) set of 17" 7&8" boxster split spokes (like those, but the spokes are narower and slpit further apart)
I spent around $300 for those same ones you have... so it sounds like a decent deal!
