The why has been explained, but you could add that recaro fits a german-style car best, just because of the name and because they use it in the faster porsches (and GTi's iirc). Still, a similar light-weight quality Sparco-seat would do well also I suppose.
I like th epole position model best because I think it has a wider seat (for my fat *ss )
