Homemade Kerscher style r. disc brakes.

Hello.
My search for a 944 rear dic brk. set has come to an and. The only brk. parts I could locate were the early rear 944 Hubs . No discs no calipers etc. As I also have both rear calipers of an early Golf 2 I plan on doing my own rear disc brk. setup which in the end should look similar and work like a Kerscher (or CB) setup. I have to machine my own caliper carrier brackets. As far as ý could see on some pictures the rear caliper spacer or bracket is machined out of steel and also doubles as a bearing cap. Is that true? (thats Kerscher and CSP unlike the CB kit which still uses the original VW bearing cap) Has someone fabricated his own rear caliper brackets for the Golf Calipers? And is it possible to use different rotors (BMW, Audi or similar which could be used with little mach. work) than the 944 rotors ones to go on the Porsche rear hubs? I think that the 944s rotor thickness is way too much for the Golf rear caliper. Any tips on this subject or information on the original Kerscher rear disc conv. would be nice. Thank's a lot.
