VW Enginge to Porsche Engine

Hi, I am an owner of a 75 VW Beetle. At the moment it is not running, but after running a few tests, the only thing that seems to be wrong with it is the fuel pump. Anyways, I heard that it is pretty easy to put a Porsche engine in place of a VW one. First of all, is that true, and second... if it is, wut r the main things i have to do to adapt my car to fit the engine and what type of engine do i need? Thanks a lot for all your help!
