new beetle door handles on 73 1303

I've seen where a guy used new beetle door handles on a super, but his site is down and he never responds to emails. Does anyone else have experience with using these door handles? Can I have the other locks/ignition keyed to the same? i think they would definetly make the car "match" more in the curves of the body. Thanks
