The hubs have to match the rotor. So, with the early hubs you can only do the early NA rotors. The 86T front rotor (28mm)will bolt to the early NA hubs, but because of the offset difference on the hubs, the rotor will be way too far inboard and will foul on the steering arm of the spindle.

Why not just keep it all the same (ie Turbo front rotor with turbo front caliper and matching hub)?

The other option is late 944 hub (87+) with boxster (1st gen) rotor and 944/993 rear T caliper in the front.
